It took forever, unfortunately, due to life events such as work, but let’s do this!

So the gist of Power Rangers Dash is basically your standard run-and-jump platformer with a tinge of freemium mixed in. Basically, think Super Mario Bros. but replace the entire game with Temple Run. In any case, each level is supposed to become more difficult, with more obstacles to jump over and stronger enemies to face.

You create a team of three Rangers of your choosing in order to play. At the beginning, you choose which Ranger team you want to start with out of Dino Charge, S.P.D., Mystic Force, Samurai, Mighty Morphin’, Wild Force, Operation Overdrive, and RPM. You can either purchase new Rangers (Graded S, A, B, or C) with three types of currencies; E-Coins, G-Coins, and Points; with G-Coins being your pay-to-play currency.

Employing Rangers from the same team has its advantages. A-rank Rangers from like teams get a bonus of some type.

After playing seven games, you gain access to what is called “Megazord Time”, where you quite literally beat the snot out of as many enemies as you are able to in a set amount of time, earning prizes at the end in the form of coins and/or special items.

One really neat feature of the game is that during your run, as long as you have the right item, you can gain access to the Megazord of whichever Ranger happens to be leading the charge. In doing so, the robot barrels across the map, destroying everything in its path and raking up points for your score.

Overall, the game isn’t terrible. In fact, it may be one of the more playable games in the history of Power Rangers. The game is far from perfect, though, with no news as to when or if any of the other teams will be released stateside. Depending on the device you’re using, lag can lead to a rather frustrating end.

For all of its successes and faults, this game garners 3 TentoRaigers out of 5.
